99 Eurovan VR6 Intake/Injector Nightmare..
I have a 99 Eurovan VR6, Injectors are bad on 2 & 5. Trying to get the intake manifold off and having a hell of a time. it seems there are 10 6mm allen bolts where the manifold meets the head (is this correct?) Do I stand a better chance accessing from the bottom, in which case i need to remove the AC Compressor (?) and a few other mean looking items.
Also I am trying to break the bolts with a 6" allen wrench and feel like I am about to snap the wrench, are they commonly this tight, I am afraid of stripping the bolts, or even breaking off the heads. Lastly I took off the short grill with the badge and tipped the radiator forward. if i remove the bottom section right under the louvered grill will the radiator come even further forward? A manual for this process would be greatly appreciated!! all and any feedback for this process would be greatly appreciated, this is my first post '75 car I have worked on, and it's a whole different world. Thanks Alden |
