shifting problems with an AOD

i have an 88 mustang gt with shorty header and an AOD linkage is tight yet, when i shift into park its really reverse, seems that linkage is binding, and cable is bowing any ideas? please let me know

Re: shifting problems with an AOD

Coule be the shifter arm itself is bent you will need to get under it to see what position the arm is in when it is in "park"
