Just bought a 2001, but some problems...

I just bought a 3.4L Monty Carlo at a "buy here pay here" place. It looks great and runs great but there a few problems. The controls for the air conditioning don't work and it seems the heat is stuck on high as the dash gets very hot. And the cruise doesn't work, but the little green light comes on. Is this something I can fix, or should I just drop the car off back at the place where I bought it so they can deal with it?

Thanks for any help.

If it doesn't work than I would at least contact them and see if they want to resolve it. If they say we will take care of it problem solved. If they tell you tuff, sold as is, than you'll have to deal with it yourself.

Re: Just bought a 2001, but some problems...

I've been by their shop three times now, they say they will fix it at no charge, but the guy that makes the appointments isn't there today. They said to go back Tuesday. (eye roll) The way I work I can only get there on the weekends unless I drop off the car. Anyway...I checked all the fuses and the one for the air was blown, I changed it and it still won't work. It didn't blow again, and all the other fuses are good.

Does the cruise light stay on all the time? If you trun the switch that controls the fan speed to the vearious settings can you get the cruise light to turn on and off?
