99 windstar oil light, light assembly you name it

when i come to a stop my oil light comes on then it goes off when i start going. my oil still looks good and i dont see any leaks. also recently i was riding on the pkwy and a deer ran out in front of my van it only busted out my driver side turning signal. i went to auto zone and they said i would need a new assembly which they had on file for $250 i bought a bulb but the turning signal still does not work but the inside light blinks fast, i also noticed that a louder than usual noise under the hood like it might be the fan.

MTP

How many miles on your 99? It sounds like your lower end may be going out. That is your rod and main bearings may have too much wear in them so they're allowing the oil psi to leak inside of the enigne. Could also be the oil pump going out. Does the oil light come on when the ening is cold? You could try a heavyer oil.

As for your headlight...look on ebay.

As for your turn signal blinking fast...that means there is a bulb out somewere on that side.

I hope this helps.

Regards

Dan

It's fairly easy to drop the oil pan and have a look at the oil pick-up ... could be partially stopped-up.

The oil pump pressure relief valve ( a spool and a spring ) may be failing ... the spring can break. An oil pump kit includes the relief valve. fairly easy to replace.

Re: 99 windstar oil light, light assembly you name it

i have about 115k on it and the oil light only comes on when i'm at a stop or almost completely stopped and wont go off until i start moving. i thought that it was happening more when i was on a hill. this is probably completely unrelated but i notice heat coming from my vent above the steering wheel.
