3.8 liter supercharger
the thunderbirds came with a factory option for the V6 supercharger, but mustang doesnt. why is that? and if i took a supercharger of a thunderbird and put it on my mustang, what are the cons of doing that, and any modifications that might also be needed to make the swap work??

Re: 3.8 liter supercharger
Also, the T-Bird is a much heavier car than the Mustang and when the Thunderbird SC was introduced there was no such thing as the V6 mustang (base model has a 4 cylinder).

Re: 3.8 liter supercharger
Yes, but the only years that the Thunderbird SC and V6 Mustang were both offered were 1994 and 1995

Re: 3.8 liter supercharger
actually they had a test mule in 93 with the sn95 prototype, it outhandeld, out performed, and got better milage then the 5.0, but fords heritage is a V6 and you cant have a car "missing" 2 cylenders be fastest then the "greatest motor ever so the idea was scraped
someone on 3.8 with a m90 swaped stang with just a simple GT catback (needed for backpreasure) ran a 14.0X, with a stock 2.73 open diff and 205 series rubber so with the basic 3.45 or 3.73 LSD a good exhaust, and some cheap GT rims and 245 or 275 rubber, mid to high 13s should be doable
