2002 Sebring Water housing leak

Recently I noticed after overheating my Sebring which was caused by the water housing outlet developing a leak. It appears that there are two plastic housing that are welded together and over time they develop a leak. This part is on the passenger side and located near the coolant reservoir and has a bleed valve on the top. It is commonly mistaken for a thermostat housing.

The new part# from Chrysler is: 4792630AA and it is about $90. Now for the tricky part...replacing.

The water outlet housing is bolted down with 4 bolts with a 8mm head. 3 bolts can easily be removed with a 1/4 inch 8mm socket and ratchet. The 4 bolt is under the intake manifold and can not be easily accessed with a 1/4 inch universal and socket. What you need to borrow/buy is a swivel socket or sometimes referred to as a Flex socket. This has the universal built into a shallow socket. With this socket the 4th bolt can be easily removed. Tip: Just remember that a 5/16 will also so the trick as it is only 2.5 thou difference in size.
The sockets can be viewed online at:
