beat a viper

Yup you read it right. I beat a viper. HEre it goes:
Yesterday I was driving home from school, and I see this beautiful blue car, you guessed it a viper. I caught up to it and tried to look at it, then we stopped a t a light. i rolled my window down and said "nice ass car," the driver said thanks, and said "yea you too." then i asked him to race and he just laughed. I started to rev my engine and so did he, then i knew it was on. The light turned green I spun the tires off the line so he beat me off the line. But as soon as I hit 2nd gear I past him, and he never caught up. We hit about 100 and I slowed down for a light. I beat him by about a car length, barely. He was like damn son, and he asks me to pull over. We pull into a bank parking lot and we look at my engine and we look at each others and he shook my hand and says "good job, kid" then we went out seperate ways. Greatest day of my life.

thanks. As of today I am running 6 psi. i was running 12 when i beat the ciper. but my clutch has been slipping and i think i am burning it out so we backed down on the psi and are upgrading the clutch within a week or two

You beat a viper on only 12 psi that is really good. I guess the weight difference really counts that much . i was expecting over 20 psi.

20 PSi? damn. Its a daily driver. nope. My can get up to 20 psi, but scared as shit to get there. I ran 12 psi at the track and i ran 11.9. Yes weight is a big difference. Power to weight ratio.

I am just wondering, what does your car pull on the dyno?

dyno? what dyno? where i live i dont use no stinkin dyno. No but seriously i dont have access to one around here. We have a car show coming up about the middle of jan and they usually have a dyno just to see what the show cars are pulling at the wheels. But right now my car was stolen and my clutch has been slipping really bad and when the thieves stole it they burnt out the clutch then left it along the highway.
So i just ordered the clutchmasters stage 4 clutch from modern performance and hoping it comes in within the week. But i will try to get it on the dyno at the show., If i can get my car running again. Thanks for the compliments.

Man that sucks. Glad to hear you got back your car. I guess its good that they were stupid and burned the clutch cuz sounds like that is the reason they dumped the car instead of making into a million pieces by now.
