Re: cobalt ss supercharge vs. impala Ls

If its the LS it probly has the 3400 motor (if I remember correctly) and you will easily win.

If its got a 3800 Series II you'll have a good fight.

And automatics aren't always slow, stop thinking like that, 90% of drag cars are "automatics" and even the Drag Cobalts are too

even a 3800 series it would kill, a cobalt is a mid 14 second car stock, the 3800 engine in a impala is a high 15 second car tops.

ANd no automatics are slow in production cars. There is a huge difference between the automatic that GM sells in there cars and the automatic GM uses on the race cars. Its like comparing apples to oranges

Your right, theres is a "huge" difference, its usually called a ratcheting shifter.

And the if the Cobalt is a bad driver, the Impala could beat it. I'm not saying its going to happen all the time, but theres always that chance.

And I can't tell if your trying to say automatics are slow in production cars but thats not always the case. Theres a lot of Automatic cars that are "fast". Especially some GM's.

Re: cobalt ss supercharge vs. impala Ls

yeah some automatics are fast, like the 6 speed automatic in the GTOs. But the crappy 4 speed automatic used with the 3XXX series isnt.

yeah you just got dumb. . . we were comparing a stock Cobalt SS Supercharged to a Stock Impala 3800. He asked a question if the automatic transmission in the Impala made a big difference in acceleration. Yes it does, that particular automatic transmission is slower at accelerating than compared if it was a 3800 engine with a manual transmission. While yes the impala never came with a manual trans, but the 3800 in V6 camaro did.

A stock cobalt ss supercharger vs a stock 3800 impala, the cobalt will rape the impala every time.

And a transmission doesnt make a car fast, its the engine. I could care less if there is a faster car on the road with an automatic. The car level you are refering to is the 3800 Supercharged motor. While that motor is a nice motor, a stock Cobalt SS Supercharged vs a 3800 Supercharged the cobalt would still win, despite the fact the 3800 Supercharged has 2 more cylinders, a bigger supercharger, and a 1.8 liter bigger engine. .

So whoopadie do, theres a faster car than mine. . .gaush!!!!!

No, you didn't read what I posted.

I got off the original topic to prove to you there are fast automatics.

You got dumb because you didn't learn to read everything before talking.

Trolling? Thats funny. Do you have GM Certification? I sure do. Do I know a lot about the Cobalt and other GM cars? Yup. Did I used to own a Cobalt and mod it and know a lot about its systems and behaviors? Yup.

So how exactly am I trolling? Or are you mad you made an ass of yourself

Oh yea? I bet.

Its funny because when you break your car, they fix it. You don't really goto the dealer and see what they do and how they work, you drop your car off and pick it up or hear stories.

Fact is a Trained Technician is very smart. And a lot smarter than you.

I bet your on Cobaltss.net too aren't you? Theres a lot of dumbasses on there, but I bet you think their gods
