New cobalt ss\sc owner...questions.

Hi everyone. I have had my 07 SS\SC for 3 weeks now and I was looking under the hood today and was wandering what goes in a couple of locations that I have pictured below. The first one seems like something snaps into place just in front of the battery cover. The second looks like something can\should be mounted on the two studs sticking out. Also where is the air filter located on these vehicles? any ideas? thanks in advance.

Re: New cobalt ss\sc owner...questions.

Since all the cobalts are basically cookie cutters of themselves certain models have things that would have connections on a different model cobalt.

Your first picture is where the PCM cover would snap into covering the PCM location on the 2.2 and 2.4's.

The second picture is where the stock air box on the 2.2 and 2.4 bolt down to.

P.s. that IS NOT your BATTERY COVER. That is a fuse block with remote positive terminal. The battery is in the trunk
