Cobalt Ss/sc Stage Kits?

Does anyone know if the cobalt ss/sc stage kits are available in canada? if so how much are they? Is stage two the largest kit you can get that is warrenty covered? And one last question. what mods would i guy need to run 13's? im guessingthe stg 2 in combination with intake exhaust header downpipe (NO NITROUS). And lets say the driver is average in skill...thanks guys

Re: Cobalt Ss/sc Stage Kits?

yes GM stage kits are available in canada. YOu can order them from online parts stores like gmpartsdirect.com or go to your local dealer and ask how much. Stage 2 is the fastest you can go without voiding your warranty, but you asked about aftermkarket exhaust and intake, those will both void your warranty.

If you dont care about your warranty, go to www.intense-racing.com buy some 42lb hour injectors, wiring harness, and a 2.9 Pulley. Go to www.gmpartsdirect and order this Smaller Belt: 12597993 (Gmparts number). Now find someone in your area who has Hptuners software, pay 100 dollars to get the GM stage 2 tune flashed onto your car.

That should get you low 14's@100-3 traps. Then your going to need something to control wheel hop, i suggest an Ingels Torque dampener, or some solid motor mounts. If you dont get a mod to control wheel hop you will break axles, mounts, even transmission.

Getting into the 13's you can go a few different ways. Intake and Exhaust should net you a high 13 second pass with a good launch and shifts.

Or you can try going cooling mods and go with an Dual pass intercooler endplate, second heat exchanger, and a cooling resevoir.

Or you can buy HPTuners software for around 500 bucks and tune the car to run mid 13's with the pulley and injectors i said before.
