Unhappy 96 altima skip

I reread my original post it made no sence at all I'll try again. MY 96 altima skips bad when cold, only when the temperature is below ~55 deg. as soon as the engine gets some heat in it, it smooths out and runs great. Any ideas as to what might be thee culprit? Its only got 227,800 miles on it, and uses about a quart of oil in 3500 miles. Thanks
