Best Looking Modern Car- Nominations
I was planning on just making a best looking modern car thread, but given the wide range of opinions I thought I would go through a nomination process first.
So this is how it works- 1) You get three nominations 2) The nominations follow a point system, 3 points for your 1st nomination, 2 for your 2nd, and 1 for your 3rd (just like the COTY nominations) 3) Must be a car sold after 2003 (original production date can be earlier, there is some leniency in the 2003 date) 4) Must be a production car, no modified or kit cars. 5) The top 5 (subject to change) nominees will go to a final poll on another thread. 6) Do not post classic cars, I like them too, but the point of this thread is to vote between cars you can buy new in dealerships today. 7) You are allowed to say why you nominated a car, but do not challenge other people's nominations. 8) Performance is irrelevant in this poll Here are my nominations 1) 3 points- Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, Italian styling at its best. Very original yet stunningly good looking. 2) 2 points- Jaguar XK, awesome combination of classic Jaguar design with modern British GT styling. 3) 1 point- Aston Martin DB9, refines the design that the Vanquish started, but isn't repetitive like the Vantage. Best looking modern Aston.

Re: Best Looking Modern Car- Nominations
Well I like the Aston, but the DB9 is a bit long, so my favorite Aston is the V8 Vantage.
3 pts: Aston Martin V8 Vantage (super skeet): 2 pt: Bentley Continental GT in person, pics dont do it justice: 1 pt: BMW M6: Now I didnt pick them just becuase they are expensive. I wanted to include the most beautiful car I've ever driven and a BMW, so both rolled into one are the M6.

Re: Best Looking Modern Car- Nominations
I am setting my Vote for the Jag XK. I really love what they have done. Finally Jaguar is coming out with some respectable cars again.

Re: Best Looking Modern Car- Nominations
1st DB9
2nd Spyker C8 3rd Zonda. M6. man, you have to get out more. Vantage is carbon copy of DB9. m3 is a 3 series, so design is busier then a beehive full of communists. ferrari F430/360 is well proportioned, but not a classic. agree with CLS. Best looking sedan, except maybe for quattroporte. The copetizione is overrated. It's nice, but not a sensation. A lambo looks exponentially better. It should have been like the 33 stradale, the best looking italian car ever. |

Re: Best Looking Modern Car- Nominations
Koenigsegg CCX - Outragious, wild an untamed an the drag coef of a fish makes it numero uno... Imo
TVR sagaris - Revolution in styling, as well as affordable and with a famous TVR color as well what more can you ask for. Porsche Carrera GT (Techart style but in black) - Amazingly refined looking for a supercar an tweaked just a bit to add that extra sport makes it number 3. I had to add to more don't count them though... Jaguar XJ220 Twr (Black or silver) - The TWR with it's high rise smooth wing and sleek/classic design will be comin in at number 4. Mercedes SLR 722 - Speed & Style an a tid bit more sporty and a whole lot rarer then the SLR make it in to my 5.

Re: Best Looking Modern Car- Nominations
3pts to
Aston Martin DB9 - It may not be the fastest, and has been mentioned numerous times, but based on pure looks, it is my top pick. It has a unique style, which can be instantly recognizable as an Aston Martin. In addition, even though it packs a huge engine, it isn't "showing it off" with wings, choppy lines, and numerous vents all over the place. 2pts to Audi S8/A8- The thing is the equivalent to a luxury liner for the road. It has subtle, but strong, solid lines which remind me of a cruise ship. It is very well proportioned 1pts to Pontiac G8 - Not out yet, but very nice looking vehicle. I'm really looking forward to this one. If it doesn't count, substitute in the Infiniti FX |
