2000 - Transfer case control module
One problem after the next, Minnesota where it snows all the time, my 4 wheel drive went out. I was told to order a replacement, so it should be coming this week. Has anyone had to fix this problem or have any knowledge of the problem?

Re: 2000 - Transfer case control module
black wall st - do a search in this forum and Jimmy (Envoy & Jimmy have the same stuff). Could be 4 things, TCM, Vacume Lines, Vacume under battery or solinoid up front under hood. Pull fuse or disconnect battery for 10 minutes and reconnect and try. My wifes 2000 envoy was stuck in 4 Lo last month, couldn't get out.. Take her to work, call tow truck to take to dealer, dealer calls "whats wrong". Tow driver got it out of 4Lo. Go figure.
Works fine now. (knock on wood). I feel your pain with this ride. |

Re: 2000 - Transfer case control module
Wow was that ever stupid, it turns out 15 and just the battery out doesnt reset the system, i ran through everything, the solenoid, lines, switch, fuse, everything, before i drove to the store to replace some parts, sure enough the thing works like a champ.
