I have been doing a lot of reading on the stock evo IX turbo what I can't seem to find is if there is anymore boost to be made with the out of the stock turbo. I'm not talking about the G463, just the turbo. I've read that the turbo runs at about 20ish psi and drops a little lower at redline. I'm thinking along the lines of a wastegate actuator along with an aftermarket boost controller. If done proper how much psi could I squeeze out of that turbo. I'm not looking for anything insane, I would just like about 5 psi more and if possible retain more boost until redline. I'm looking for someone that has Actually done this before. This is the exact same turbo that comes in the S3 turbo upgrade for the SRT-4. Yes it can support well over 20 psi, few are pushing 30 psi with it. The wga is the weak link and should be upgraded to hold more boost.
