possible upgrade
current car-1998 3.8L automatic, t-top
what I can buy from my auto body professor for $1800 LT1 with 58,000 miles from a wrecked 1995 Trans Am Front and Rear axl Transmission-don't know if exactly which one yet wiring harness forgot to ask about the computer so that could be a deciding factor. first off can I put an LT1 in a 1998 Firebird? is $1800 a good price for all of that? Along with this I would get a set of headers, cat-back exhaust, and possibly do a ram air on it. What is everyones opinions on this? I know a lot of people say to just go get a TA because it would cost too much to convert, but I personally feel this is a good price.

Re: possible upgrade
its a good price..but whose gonna do the swap? if you dont do it right, your car may never run as well as it should..and if you DO swap it, even if its good, youll never get the price you could have gotten on your 3.8 if you ever decide to sell it...
also, gas mileage.. damage to engine? anything broken while it was wrecked? if anything, give em 2K, make HIM do everything ;D and yeah, its possible
