Hello, has anyone out there installed a new cabin airfilter in their 200?
I would really appreciate a quick pointer or two... Thanks, Jon Vail, CO |

hope you already took care of this, as I hear the sleet is hitting in the high country. if not, you are good thru winter. Welcome to the forums as well. sorry I did not see this sooner; however, not on much anymore, just building and modding. anyhow, I am pretty sure the 100/200 is very similar to the 80/90/A4s, and the cowling near the passenger's side comes off to expose where to swap out the cabin air filter. also, if it too excessively priced (some Benz units can run upwards of $50+), purchase one for a 90CS/A4 model (maybe 1993-1996) from an AutoZone, as they will be under $33 for the Bosch and you can cut it, fabricate it to fit your size, and tape it in place, as this is just a "fresh air" breather, and with you being in Vail (altitude), and Colorado (arid climate), you should be able to get away without (if you elect). this may help on some level: http://members.fortunecity.com/willn...nual/index.htm a link to a 100/200 Training Service manual. hope this helps, ctesla |
