SRT20DET or CA18DET Silvia

An importer guy is selling 2 Silvia's K's one has a SR20DET, looks decent and is $8000 the other is a really nice black Sil with a CA18DET it is only $7000. The SR has about 275hp and the CA has about 250-260. Which car would be better to buy for the future? Taking in account that the extra 1000 could be used for upgrades.

Re: SRT20DET or CA18DET Silvia

Those cars are probably drift ready like most cars imported to Canada, if you don't drift or don't like cars that look like shit, stay away from them all, there's a reason why they are so cheap, they get the shit driven out of them, if you do all your own work and love to drift tho, then go for the SR. Personally i would try to find a really clean mint condition car that isn't modded, it'll be around the same price, but since you don't seem to know much about these cars, they are a MUCH MUCH better choice.

Re: SRT20DET or CA18DET Silvia

with the ca18, get a T25/8 turbo from an sr20det, that should even it out a bit

then happy revving to you

Re: SRT20DET or CA18DET Silvia

i believe it's a T25, but i hear it's not as good as the other nissan T25's

it's also efficient till 13psi, based on the condition etc.
