My new model, couple questions.

Here's my new model, not by choice, it was a gift, but I like it.

I was wondering if it's hard to shave door handles and moldings, and how to go about doing it. They just stick up, so I don't think I'd have to fill anything in.

and I was wondering if I wanted to shave the tail lights, what would I fill them in with?

Putty. Look in the FAQ for the thing about "toothpaste" putty, not the epoxy kind. Well, wait... the epoxy kind may work too...

Sweeeeet! Impalas rule (minus the new ones). My dad owned a 96 Impala Super Sport, but unfortunately he sold it after about a year . I think I might do that same model for him as a commemorative model this summer. Your's will look hot with shaved moldings and handles, although I am not sure about the tails? Any pics of real cars?

Yeah, I'm not totally sold on the shaved tails, it was just an idea someone gave me to make it look custom/different. I don't think I'll do it now that I've thought about it. If I did do it though, I'd put different smaller lights somewhere else like in the bumper or in the same spot just smaller ones though.

Cool, do you know what color you are gonna paint it? If you have ever seen it, one of the three choices was a dark purple and it looked so nice, although black was still my favorite. I will try to find a pic of the purple for you. I think the other option was a green and it was just ugly.

I remember it being a bit darker, but this is what I could find. I like the color a lot. BTW this car in particular runs 14's.

Actually it's going to be irridescent, changing from purple to green hitting every color possible in between. Something different

well I have everything done on the model, just need to finish putting it together now. I decided to just paint it black, but I'm going to do my ITR irridescent so I'll do the write up on that. I'll probably have the whole car done by tomorrow or friday and post pics then.
