RSX measurements
ok guys need some help, I need to know some of the measurements of ur cars, such as: From the front outside Wheel to the other ouside of the wheel (so the width of the car from the outside of both wheels), from the firewall to the head of the engine, the engine length itelf, the engine length with tranmition length included, the most important is the size need to fit the engine. Like from the frame to the other frame would be nice (across the whole engine bay, to see the space required), from the firewall to where the intake manifold ends.... I need pretty accurate measurements, because we might do a motor swap from a rsx type s into a differ car. Any measurements involving the space in the engine bay and the position of the engine in the bay.
Thanks for all the help |

Re: RSX measurements
What are you swapping into...and would you really trust the measurements you'd get in a forum before undertaking a swap?

Re: RSX measurements
Um, not to be an asshole or anything, but wouldn't a tape measure provide the dimensions better than we could?!

Re: RSX measurements
Oh, my bad. I don't know why I thought you'd have access to an RSX if you are about to perform an engine swap!

Re: RSX measurements
An engine swap takes quite a bit more than just getting measurements, which you probably already know about. You should really look at the car you're placing the engine into and make sure the tranny and suspension, etc. will work. I would not base my decision on measurements that someone else has taken. You should really try to get with someone in the area that has an RSX or possibly look at one in the junkyard that hasn't been smashed in the front area.
Just my 2cents.
