Brake pads

Damnit, I hate my dial up connection. I tried posting a message earlier about brake pads as you can see.

Well, it has come time to turn the front rotors and get some new brake pads on my 89 Honda Civic Si. My father is suggesting that I get EBC pads since they are well known for making good street bike pads. But I've been told they are hard to get.

Also the dilemma is he wants to get the best pads out ther for the street. If anyone could provide any information or links to sites about comarisons between pads that would help me very much. Maybe some that have stopping Distance tests.

I was told by the local shop that Metal Masters are good and cost 80 bucks. Father is skeptical to whether they are any good. He wants braking distance numbers since it's his son's life at stake.
