Air Filter
Besides doing what it is supposed to, does it do anything more (increased speed, better mpg, ect)? Im not really good at this stuff. And if it does do anything "special", should I upgrade to a "performance" air intake.
Thanx

Re: Air Filter
Inni, I am not going to tell you "don't upgrade' but why would you? is your 94 a three cylinder? There are some potential gains in performance from free flow intake and exhaust, but you need to modify the head and cam to benefit significantly. For a 50 Hp engine to gain much is pretty tough. So, what do you want to do? spend a few hundred and get 5 maybe 6 horses or go wild and do a twin cam swap from a Gti Suzook?

Re: Air Filter
Well thanx for the input. Um I put one in and the 0-60 time was faster. I timed it twice with the stock one on and it took 42.88 seconds. Then i timed it twice with the new intake, and now it took me 24.83 seconds. Yes its a 3 cylinder mik13usa.

Re: Air Filter
It might have been the kid who was timing me. He was probably trying to make a fool of me (which he has I guess). I'll have someone trustworth timing me next time for the actual results.
PS. Im not a B.S.er, i cant time my self and drive at the same time

im not shure about cutting your time in half but i would assume to see some good improvment with an air intake. on these cars the throttle body is to small to begin with ad wont let enough air in. so with that said doing anything to help that problem, air intake, and would allow more air to flow into the engine will help it. also if you want to keep upgrading go with a 2" exhaust all the way back. these engines dont need much if any back pressure to operate well. damn i love theses things
