Typical English Car
:sun: May I say how glad I am that you have wrote that!
Being new to the Forums, Its good to see a dedicated TVR section. The car in Swordfish is a prime example of English (Sorry we have to say British?) craftsmanship and design concept. Not only does the performance speak for itself, but the looks are quite simply outstanding! No other car in the world can have offer the sublime performance, appearance, handmade craftsmanship, heritage and driver appeal other then TVR! (Well, Aston Martin does. . . possibly better in fact! - Another English Car). I have often wondered what car in the entire world would I choose if I won the lottery? Well the obvious choices are Porsche: Not for a lottery winner, more for a slightly well off person who doesn’t understand what Character in a car means. Ferrari: Damn fine car! Damn fine! But it has no craftsmanship! Yes its a Damn fine car but its more mass produced these days and therefore looses its individuality, perhaps I'm being too pedantic? But you can always see a Ferrari. There are few cars in this area, but the top two in my opinion are the Aston Martin Vantage and just about any TVR! Simply they both have the exclusivity that's needed in this situation, they are both handmade by English craftsman (The best in the World!) They have the performance, the looks and most of all the presence that determines a super car requirement! You can hear a TVR far before you can see a TVR! Whilst the Aston Martin has the performance, albeit not as much, but has the unmistakable 'I'm God! Move out of the way' imagine that no other car can even think about having! Lovely cars, Think I would go for the TVR as a general day to day car, And an Aston Martin for weekends? Lee Moffatt |
