Pictures of F***ed Wheels!!!

ok fellas...this is a perfect reason why not to drive at 2 am on a saturday night (when all the drunks start leaving the bar). sorry about the late pictures...i figured i would post them to show the extent of the damage beings you guys really never saw good pictures of the wheels...

This is the left front wheel...the first wheel to make contact with that 8" tall curb at ~30mph.

This is the left rear wheel.

This is the right front wheel...the most fixable wheel out of all 4 and even then, the nearest rim fixer doesnt even want to touch it.

This is right rear wheel...check out the size of that crack.

Other Random Pics that i took when i took pics of the wheels...

This is a pic of my rear tire width compared to a fairly normal tire width...also notice the balding effect on tires a Z has. also notice that i need a camber correction kit if i buy a new set of wheels.

This is a pic of my happy home...with my z31 sitting pretty high in the air in the process of replacing the tranny.

Hope you enjoyed...i sure didnt. brought back memories, not so good ones. but im over it... HAPPY Z-ING FELLA'S!!!

Re: Pictures of F***ed Wheels!!!

Now if you had stock wheels, that wouldn't have happened lol. I'm glad I didn't do any damage when I kissed the curb. I only have minor small scratches on the edige

Re: Pictures of F***ed Wheels!!!

At my work somebody hit a curb just like you doing 30, but it just didnt get cracked or get bent really bad, the entire wheel broke in 1/2 and was in 2 pieces. Only thing holding it togetherwas the tire which got shredded. But you know these BMW people really dont care about that.

After a close inspection of the pictures you've provided and careful consideration of the facts which caused the said damage, I've come to the conclusion your right, them wheels are fucked up.

more or less, i needed a project/winter/daily-driver car. my parents didnt have much of a choice...i pay the bills around here.

so who wants to buy those wheels??? taking offers.

BTW: you guys havent seen anything yet. i am gonna try and go back to where the accident happened and get some pictures of the curb. its amazing what the laws of physics can do to a solid concrete curb...

Gezzzzzzzzus... you musta hit that curb pretty damn hard and fast, Boyo. I'm sure someone could fix 'em up a bit... but then again I wouldn't trust driving on them all that much... sad to see a good set up rims all junked!

Re: Pictures of F***ed Wheels!!!

I don't see how'd that happened. I kissed a curb around 30mph with my stock wheel and the only thing I got was a small scratch on the edge of the wheel. Oh yea...and messed up camber lol.

you kissed the curb...i ran over the curb!!! i was told that the wheels must be pretty strong from the guy that fixes wheels. he said that usually the people with thin tires on their aftermarket wheels dont end up with wheels that are in one piece anymore.

ivia: i found someone to fix my wheels but he said that it would end up costing me about the same as just buying brand new ones.

while we are on the subjec...when i buy new wheels, should i get:
polished lip with black center or all black wheel??? i cant decide on that.

and show some pics of some suggestions...staggered fitment is a must. im looking at around $1200 for a set of wheels without tires.

right now i am looking at the 5zigen FN01R-C's right now in matte black.

yeah but straight black is so JDM TYTE YO!!! no im j/k. i just like the all black look and think it would look really sharp on my car, with the whole black on silver theme. and those 5zigen's weigh like 16 or 18lbs a wheel.
