Metro will crank but not turn over. (changed fuel pump and fuel filter)

I have a 1994 Geo Metro. It was running fine and one day it died while I was letting it idle. Since then it will crank but not turn over. I have replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter and verified that there is fuel getting to the carburator. Same problem persists. My next thought and it should probably have been my first is to check the spark plugs.

Any other suggestions?

ckeck the timing belt thur the inspection hole on the timing belt cover if that is tight them check the spark if that is ok check for fuel in the carb if that is ok
spray starting fluid in the carb if that starts the car then you might have a slug of bad fuel.
lots of other causes for this but it is most likely 1 of thoses you are going to check
good luck
