transmission- no OD- '93 T-bird
I'm new here. My '93 Thunderbird will not go into overdrive when it has warmed up. Works fine when cold(including in the winter), but once it warms up,it will not shift from 3rd to OD. Mr. Transmission dosen't know why unless I first spend a couple of hundred bucks for them to find out! The engine is the notoryous 3.8 ltr. Hope someone can enlighten me on what the problem is. THANKS! EH!

Check the TCC solenoid in the transmission (around 40 bucks or so) it could be bad. The solenoid is what makes the transmission go into OD and come out of OD. Could also be anything that controls the solenoid. I replaced the solenoid in my car and everything started back working fine - should be able to replace it youself if you don't mind getting a little dirty. It's inside the trans. pan.[color=navy]
