97 Altima. Possible to turbo?

Is it possible to turbo the ol Twin Cam?

Yes, Its Possible to turbo the 97 altima. If you do a lil research you can find some sites that provide a already bulit turbo kit. I have only found a stage one kit so far,Which included a t3\t4 turbo, and that cosats about $2,500 - $4,000 ... so it all depends on what u want

Sounds good but would there be any detrimental effects on the engine it'self?

mmm...... yea if you have an older engine.... but it depends on the type of turbo you put on it...

I suggest a supercharger, personally.

less electronics to control, less chance of terrible abuse to your twin cam engine, better horsepower and better PSI.

hm

hm. Yea since I plan on gifting my altima to my little brother when I get my next car engine wear due to turbo is a prime concern. A supercharger does seem more reasonable. I'll definately have to take it into consideration.

Yes it is possible to turbo it. CHeck out turbonetics! You can find one for about 3.5-4k$(kit). The engine is DOHC and very easy to turbo if you have the money to do it.

yes there are 2 turbos out for the engine turbonetics 92-97 altima (ka24de Engine)
Greddy 92-95, 96-98 240sx (ka24de engine)
