Sunroof removel

I have a 87 944 non turbo. HOW do i get the damn sunroof/moonroof, wutever they call these ones totally off? Also, when i go about 65+ mph.. the sun roof starts smacking up and down. PLEASe HELP!

the little curved arms that push the sunroof up also hold it down...
now, if you pull them totally down you are unlocking the sunroof by retracting the arms out of their grooves. if you retract them all the way then press down on the sunroof, making sure that it is seated in it's place, and raise the arms to the point at which it barely lifts the sunroof then bring the sunroof down, just so that it is seated and stops moving downward, it will be locked and will not flap.
as for taking it off: unlock it by bring ing the arms totally down/retracted and push up on it from the inside. this should unseat the sunroof and it will/should swing upward with ease. then pull it (carefully!) away from the car. do not exceed 90 degrees with the suroof though, you risk breaking the plastic lip that breaks the wind so it doesn't reverberate the inside while driving 55+mph.
