No Horn, No Doorlocks
Just recently, my locks and horn stop working on my 1994 Corsica. Checked the fuses in the box on Drivers' Side. All were good. Inside the cover for the fuse box it says there is an 20 amp inline fuse for the horn and door locks located under the steering column. I know inlines are the straight glass ones. I traced the wires from the steering wheel down to a wire harness. From the wire harness all the wires are spliced into an aftermarket keyless/remote start module that I had installed. Could there be anyway that they removed the fuse during installation. So instead of blowing the fuse that was supposed to be there, it blew a relay or something?
I've tried everything I know to try and taking it to the dealership is way to expensive. I sat turned upside down on the driver's side seat for at least 20 minutes (as far as I can remember). When I came to, I realized I was too big for this nonsense and should break down and ask for help!!! Haynes manual sucks!! |

It is likely that the security system or its installation is interfering with the operation of both, especially if the problem occurred at about the same time. I would insist that the installer locate and repair the problem at his expense, or prove that his installation is not involved. Ray
