Need Advice: 2022 Panamera Maintenance Issues

Hi everyone,

I’m a Porsche owner from Vancouver, facing ongoing issues after a routine maintenance at Langley Porsche. My 2022 Panamera now has severe problems: engine vibration, brake performance significantly reduced, oil leaks, and suspected suspension failure.

The maintenance cost was $7,611, and it took 15 days to complete. This included a PDK transmission service I didn’t authorize. Additionally, all four brake pads were reported to have exactly 3mm of wear, the exact threshold for replacement. This level of perfect synchronization seems highly unusual and raises questions about the accuracy of the report.

It’s been over a month since my complaint, yet the dealership hasn’t responded, and Porsche Canada keeps redirecting me to them. I feel stuck, powerless, and unsure of what to do next.

If anyone can share advice or insights, I would deeply appreciate your help.

Re: Need Advice: 2022 Panamera Maintenance Issues

I’ve received the results of an independent inspection, and the conclusion is alarming: my vehicle is deemed unsafe to drive due to safety risks.

When I sent my car to Langley Porsche for maintenance, it was running perfectly fine. However, after the 15-day service, the independent inspection now indicates that the car is no longer safe.

I can’t help but wonder if any parts were replaced or repairs were conducted without my knowledge during those 15 days. This uncertainty has left me deeply worried about the safety of my vehicle.

This car is my only means of transportation in Vancouver. While I have been limiting its use to minimal driving at the lowest speeds, I’m terrified that any unforeseen mechanical failure could jeopardize my safety and that of others on the road.

I’m feeling overwhelmed and anxious about this situation. Has anyone encountered something similar? What should I do next? I urgently need advice—thank you for your help.

Not sure what kind of regulations are in place on your side of the globe, but here in NL as a consumer you have the rights to receive the parts that were replaced. And if parts are replaced without need (other than 'figuring out what is going on') those parts have to be swapped back to the original once and not invoiced.
I don't know any dealership or garage, but going to an independant party for a second opinion can be a wise thing. But you do have a clear answer on your car now.

Being "unsafe to drive" is quite a statement. That almost means that the brake system or suspension is about to fully break down.
If parts were replaced late December (giving your first post), I would think a trained mechanic can spot if the parts were from 2022 or a few months old.
If you feel you are being scammed, the only option you have is to take legal actions. But a legal counselor will probably also want to hear from the Porsche Dealer what was done and why. So maybe you should give them another call first.

Sorry you need to go through this. You should be enjoying a Porsche, not be scared of it
