It's Been Awhile.
Since I have been here at least 5 years I remember there being a chat window. Is there still a chat window? I cant seem to find it. Unless I'm thinking of a different forum.

Re: It's Been Awhile.
There was a running chat window in one version of the board software. I believe that required a lot of the site resources and provided very little useful content, being more of a facebook or instagram type chat than anything which would have any durable value.
Some formats just don't lend themselves to technical content very well.

Re: It's Been Awhile.
Yeah there was a chat window here at one time and it created more problems than it actually helped. I kept it inactive on my end because of all the bugs and slow downs.
The good ole days was when AIM was big and everyone had their AIM name linked and you could just IM someone if you thought they could help. I used to just BS with guys from the 3/S forum on AIM.

I thought it was useful. There was real time answers. I'm not saying it was useful in the overall running of the site but I personally like it.
