2005 Dodge Stratus, need help identifying this part
so I'm hoping someone is able to help me identify this part. I was told it was my outer boot but every time I google it I am taken to a CV Axle. I was told I would have to replace the cv axle, however as i go to purchase one it looks nothing like the piece that is broken. I'm hoping someone is able to tell me what exactly this piece is. Both the driver and the passenger side are broken and makes a weird sound when turning but when i use white lithium grease it stops until the water washes it away. I went to purchase a CV Axle however it looks nothing like this piece and i don't want to pay 500 bucks to have it fixed and it not be the problem. Someone please help!

The accordion looking boot is part of the cv axle.
The torn boot below it is the ball joint.
