1994 camaro V6 3.4 not charging battery

Hi,I have a v6 camaro not charging battery.I replaced the battery,alternator and sepintine belt.
so far Ive check all connections under hood all good.I have 11.6v on the small red wire to alt plug,with key on.I checked bigger red wire on rear of alt from battery,it has also 11.6v on it.not 13+v when car running. I took alt of and took it to autozone they did all the test on it it passed.Its putting out 14.6 v I checked wiring diagram and it shows the Small red wire is what suplies voltage to regulater to trigger alt to charge.since it does have voltage with key on it should be triggering alt to charge battery.Im very stumped.anyone have an idea??

The small red wire on the "L" terminal of the alternator regulator should have at least 10V on it to enable the regulator. With the small red wire disconnected from the alternator and isolated from ground, turn on the ignition switch and measure the voltage at that wire. If the voltage is insufficient, check the condition of the ALT lamp in the instrument cluster.

The voltage for the regulator enable is supplied through that lamp and a parallel resistor. If the lamp has failed the resistor alone may not be providing sufficient voltage, especially if there are corroded connections in the circuit. The circuit also uses two fused sources to power the regulator trigger, one being the GAGES fuse and the other being the PCM/BAT fuse.

Thanks for the reply, I do have 11.6v on the small red wire disconnected from alt,with ignition on,but,connected,car running still not charging battery.Gauge inside on cluster reads low.but check gauges light is off,it was on with old alternator.
this is a real mind scrambler.If voltage is present on the wire going to regulator,why is the alt not putting out the amps.?Is there a way to tell witch term on alternator is the L term.there are 4 spade terms on alt plug..??

Well alt is working now charging my battery.I call shop where I purchased alt.
The guy said to move the small red wire. that connects to L term to I term on alt,that did the trick.Its working like it should.He said L term is for Light guage.and I term is for Ignition.Alternator turns on and off like normal.and my volt gauge is working.im getting 14.6v at battery.
