AC operation

i have an 05 sedona-- and while riding down the road the ac all the suuden starts blowing hot air then a minute later back to cool air. ac i full charge. rear ac in the van does not seem to do this switching back and forth. any ideas of a remedy?

You'll have to know if compressor is running when it does this-- so pull over and look at front of compressor- is front hub turning? Most likely not. Could be a wide air gapthat can be adjusted.

I have noticed today that the compressor is running and stopping this is when the heat rises in the van. I guess my question is now should the compressor run constantly while ac is turned on. I had the Freon levels checked High and Low they said the levels were ok. I did not ask for further diagnostics because it would have been 100.00. I see both fans are running under the hood but seems like I used to hear one of those fans kick on real high when ac was running. Or maybe just me not sure..

compressors can't cool if they are not running- running and stopping under high load is bad- it should be continuous running- your pressure check is no good that you had done, if they could not determiine this. Plus, the only way to know if a system is fully charged is to extract and weigh the charge.
