Download a FSM here. You may have to login to the site to download.
See if there are codes stored in the ECM. Short terminals TE2 and El of the DLC1 connector with a paperclip, turn on the ignition, and read the output on your Check Engine light. It blinks in code - four fast blinks followed by three fast blinks would be "43". See page EG2-173 of the FSM and beyond for additional information. Your engine doesn't have a MAF meter, it has a Volume Air Flow meter which is attached to the air cleaner cap. Your ECM is outboard of the passenger's feet. For troubleshooting, check the following: Distributor (page IG-23 in the FSM) Ignition Circuit (IG-16) EFI Main Relay (EG2-245) Circuit Opening Relay (EG2-246) VAF Meter Circuit (EG2-190) Fuel Pump (Volume and pressure, EG2-202) Idle Speed Control Valve Compression (EG2-30) Timing Belt (EG2-38) RPM Signal Circuit (IG-16) Cold Start System (EG2-247)

I've had so many problems with this 3.0 ltr engine that I ended up buying a rebuilt engine from Engine World Inc in Houston.
