4.6 2v Break In

Hey guys,
im doing my first 4.6l 2v rebuild from scratch and i just wanted to know what the proper break in procedure is for it. My haynes manual says to turn it on let it heat up and check for leaks, then to do; 10, 30-50 mph accelerations to seat the rings, then turn it off inspect for leaks and then drive it babying it for 500 miles drop the oil and then drive it normal for 2500 miles. This was pretty different from chevys small blocks break in so i asked my local dealer and they told me just to drive it normal for 3000 miles. Also i have heard to baby it for 3k, to ride it hard for 3k, to drive it like i would always drive it for 3k. I have also heard to have it dynoed the break it in because the computer can do it the best. There are alot of differnt opinions scattered among the internet. I just figured i would ask to see if anybody knows the proper way to break them in. Oh and the reason i didnt go with fords recommendation is because it is Bill Estes Ford and it is in my opinion, after dealing with them with our 07 Mustang 4.0, that they dont know shit from sugar when it comes to Ford cars, but they are the closest.

Also what weight of oil should i use? I know i need to go conventional Dino Juice for the first oil change, but i have heard; 5w-10, 5w-20(regular) 5w-30 as well as 5w-50 and "Break In" Oil. I would appreciate any help i can get.

I would try the Haynes Manual method. I would use regular 5w-30 oil or what Ford Recommends. Especially the first oil change at 500 miles. My rebuilder demanded this for his warranty.
