I'll make it short:
I bought a used vehicle from a new/used dealership with mileage at 90K on odometer (and title), had a few issues, was worked on at dealership (I have full warranty), had a few more issues so I brought it to another dealership (to get a second opinion on specific issues)..
They hooked a computer up.. turns out vehicle has 140K miles, was rolled back. Dealership I purchased from states A) "they had no idea" and B) because of a internal computer on the vehicle they know the EXACT mileage and can update my odometer and register it to the VIN, would this still be classified as a TMU?
And.. when finding the actual price of the vehicle if it is a TMU how would I calculate? I have found through research on a few "blog" websites if it is a TMU it is considered a "salvage" and to deduct 50-80% off KBB value of price at 140K miles. Is that correct?
I have a few options on the table regarding vehicle, just trying to analyze each one, feel free to ask questions and I'll answer them as soon as I see it.
Thanks!!
