Turbo Timer needed

So my car came with a turbo timer when I first bought it, now its starting to be a little glitchy, are they really needed for these cars. I thought I heard a while back that they really wern't.

just want to know if I should buy a new one or if I can go without

On water cooled turbos you are only wasting gas. There is no reason to have one.

And if you want to be cool... can get them for cheap on eBay. Think I spent like $15 on mine waaaay back when. Still pointless though.

Well well look who finally came to visit... and Dave if I remember right your turbo was not water cooled so it would not have been useless.

Yes I do. But like I said before if the turbo is NOT water cooled than a timer is not useless. On water cooled turbos there is no real reason to run one.
