Re: mid engined vanagon
I cleaned up those brake lines and got them in and tightened. the beamer shafts that I had will be shortened and halved for the final length mock-up--then splinted together in the median radius with angle iron and my welder. this will define installation clearances too.
the wink /visor mirror assembly is started up front-- I hated the visor/mirror already there, so i designed a better one- youlle see |

Re: mid engined vanagon
I am working on a chrysler powered toyota previa for the masses as well-- I spent 2 hours laying under one at the jy with a tape, pen/pad and a camera. it looks promising. the engine will split 50/50 at the floor level, landing at the top of the rear bench seat bottom cushion and 13" south using the toyota hanging peripherie boundary layer, that is, the lowest ghost line where the bottom of oil pans and spare tires are. It wont have droopy diapers. much nicer coach than the vanagon too.
photos and scale drawings to come...... |
