95 tbird with an electrical problem
I got a 95 bird 4.6 with an annoying issue. I keep blowing the run fuse. The volt gauge doesn't move, the blower is stuck on high and cant be turned off, the rear defroster doesn't work either. The fuse seems to pop when the car is put into reverse. I searched the threads and found some of the same issues but no updates if the problem has/is fixed.

Re: 95 tbird with an electrical problem
Welcome to the forum, GoFordGo. The Tech help thread is at the top of the Thunderbird forum page. Go to the second page of the Tech help thread and you will see a post I did for testing the Semi Automatic Temp Control circuit at the top of the page. Also on the bottom of that page I posted a place to get repair info including wiring diagrams for many makes of cars. You'll find the rear defroster circuit there so you can follow the circuit path with a voltmeter to see where the break is. There are also wiring diagrams for the AC circuit that includes the blower motor. Depending on whether you have the manual or semi-automatic control will determine how the blower is controlled. Both of these circuits can be found in the library site. If you need more help with the blower and defrost circuits, write back. Both of the above circuits get power through the Run fuse so I would try to fix them and then see if you are still blowing the Run fuse. Be sure to check the wiring to make sure the insulation isn't worn through allowing the wire to short to ground.
