GTR wings

When I was in the running to buy an original wing end plate, I searched in my archives for the correct one.
And then realized there were so many wings and wing end plates too.
So, a topic about just the GTR rear wings.

Let'start with the shorttail GTR's

#01R during a GTR test

#01R at LeMans 1995

#02R at LeMans 1995

#02R 1996 British GT

#03R Castrol

#03R West

#03R 1996 LeMans, a very special version imo

#04R Gulf

#04R art

#05R MVR

#05R 1995 LeMans

#06R model not used much

#06R current

#06R current

#06R Eurosport

#06R LeMans, racing is dirty, is better

#08R current

#10R with covers on the wing adjustment mechanism end

#12R Suzuka

#12R current

#18R clear view

The longtail GTR's

#19R Lark

#19R test

#19R LeMans

#20R very smal plates

#20R slightly different than current

#20R current

#22R big wing end plate, and the actual one which is in my living room , just before the crash at Spa 1997

#22R small straight wing end plate

#22R LeMans 1998, same as current

#22R current

Some pics of #22R right wing end plate, used and lost in Spa 1997

I'm interested in the different shapes you have, please post them
Off course, there are a lot of other colours schemes, but the shape difference is more interesting imo
this is just a start

Re: GTR wings

About long tails, you can add the 2 Schnitzer who had really specific end plates during Spa practice 1997.
Also, the 2 Schnitzer and the 3 Gulf Team Davidoff, during pre-qualifying Le Mans 1997 had some "Aluminium feet".

Edit: About your 2 pics from #20R in Le Mans are for me the same. Maybe the gurney is little bigger on the second one...but more probably it's only an optical effect.

Edit 2 : Add #24R which get unik end plates

Thanks

#20R correct, I made a mistake, both the same pics in LeMans
the one I wanted to show, at the presentation in LeMans city center

and #24R, what's unique on the end plates? the support brackets are different (like the #20R LeMans presentation), which looks like an inboard wing control system

Re: GTR wings

This Thread is great! Another detail view to GTR's!

Just thought, that atleast 2 or 3 longtails wore that "extra big" rear wing in Helsinki's race. Both FINA's and atleast one Davidoff GULF had that wing.

Here end of the main straight; #21R gets past by #25R.

Wow those are big endplates. Were they only used for the Spa test or were they the same as the Helsinki wing? Im guessing it would be more useful at a city track like Helsinki then Spa.

The GTR,s in these two pics are missing the carbon aero shrouds that they normally run. when I have more time I post some pics that show this better. I will also will add more to this thread, as I have some wing parts (damaged) from 96 and 97 GTR,s and tech information of some interest.
