A new website for the McLarens...

This is interesting - someone, and I am not sure who - has created a new website pulling together news, photos, video and related links for McLaren's road cars. Click the banner:

They do have a small bit of fine print:

Quote:
McLarenRoadCars.com is an independent enthusiast website dedicated to the road cars built by McLaren Automotive and is in no way affiliated with, or endorsed by, McLaren. McLaren and any related logotypes, devices, names and slogans are, or may be claimed as, registered trademarks of McLaren Automotive. Every effort has been made to give proper and prominent credit to original sources.
I didn't see any original content and it is all things we have seen I believe, but it might be worth keeping an eye on for the future.

Re: A new website for the McLarens...

Hello,

good find and interesting website. I was afraid they do a registry but it not the case, the site is more accessible.
I wonder who is behind, surely noone from the forum and why to say they are not linked with McLaren Automotive and use the logo ?

McLF1 stays for F1 nuts

Phil

That is quite important. Original F1 content is quite hard to find unless it is new footage / pictures. I believe we here may have scoured the 'net for most of the information out there. Of course the WWW is quite a cavernous place to be and there is bound to be goodies out there we have yet to conquer, but if there is stuff, it's not going to be groundbreaking [unless we see detailed pics of #039, #057, #066, a video of #060 being driven in anger or hear of an F1 owner amongst the high-number posters on this thread..... ]

Very interesting indeed. Seems very high quality page, not done by hurry.

Re: A new website for the McLarens...

Okay - this is starting to get a bit out of control (in a good way!):

So that's something new. There's also other dedicated forums like these:

McLarenLife.com
TheMclarenForum.com
McLarenDriver.com
McLaren-Power.com

Then there are also McLaren sub-forums in these places:

TeamSpeed.com
Luxury4play.com
LamboPower.com
BritishSpeed.com
GTSpirit.com
CarPassion.com
SupercarFrance.com

I'm going to need to hire a secretary to keep up with all of this chatter.

If I have missed any that you are aware of, please include them below.

Re: A new website for the McLarens...

So true Erik,

McLaren should pay attention to all these sites. I like McLarenDriver because it seems to be done by a 12C owner.
