fixing a scratch, what product do I need
I have a small scratch in my car, I've watched several video's on youtube about how to fix it (feel free to suggest others).
It seems the general procedure is to: 1 clean it, 2 sand with high grit (1500 seems common) 3 add touch up paint (primer, color, clearcoat as necessary) 4 wait for paint to dry 5 sand again to smooth off paint 6 add some product to restore shine permanently to paint 7 clean wax and your done. Problem is I can't seem to find what product I need for step 6, I've seen the videos with pros using a buffing machine, but I don't have a budget for that, other videos show a hand applied product. Can someone tell me what I need? |

You could probably use a buffing compound - available at any auto good store. I've used it before and it took some nasty scuffing out of my motorcycle tank.
Let us know how it goes... and we LOVE before/after pictures!
