Wheel Cylinder
My rear brake wheel cylinder is leaking. With the age of the car it is not surprising. However, I can't figure out how to remove the wheel cylinder. No problems in removing the shoes, disconnecting the brake line, removing the two torx bolts holding the wheel cylinder to the backing plate, and knocking the wheel cylinder loose from the backing plate. BUT, there does not seem to be enough room between the backing plate and the hub to get the wheel cylinder out. I have looked at a couple of different repair manuals, but neither say that hub removal is necessary.
Anyone do this before?

Re: Wheel Cylinder
Well, I guess that I figured it out for myself. The hub does have to come off to get the wheel cylinder out. That being said, the hub is only held on by 4 bolts (T-50 Torx). After loosening/removing the bolts, just pry the backing plat away from the hub.
