my 89 oldsmobile

i have a 89 oldsmobile cutlass .v6 3.3
the key ignition cylinder just went on it. how do i take the old one out. i have no idea.

The job is relatively easy but it has many small parts in the column! You would need to remove the steering wheel,lock plate, turn signal switch, cruise handle, key chime just to get to the screw for the key cylinder. I would not reccomend you doing this on your own unless you have some good skills and a couple of tools. You will need a lock plate depressor, a steering wheel puller and some time.

thanks aot for the info. sounds like a pain in the arse. i thought i needed i pulller. damn it.when i bought the replacement it say its an easy job. yeah everyone has a steering wheel puller in thier cabinet. thanks for the info i appreciate it.
