1994 Silhouette power window and Door issues ?
I picked up a nice Oldsmobile Silhouette today, and it has a couple of issues,
1) the passenger side window doesn't work Can someone tell me how to test the motor ?? 2) the Drivers side Door doesn't close all the way at the bottom and it everything looks to be lined up.... |

To test the power window motor remove the door panel to allow access to the motor then apply 12 volts to the 2 terminals on the motor. Reverse the terminals to reverse the motor. If the motor works by applying voltage directly to itthen you have to check the switches which would be easy to acomplish since you will already have the dooor apart.
As for the door not fittting right, was the vehicle in an accident? There are several adjustments that can be made to the hinges so you can properly align the door, you will have to see which way it needs to go and adjust the hinges properly. |

www.avigex.ca/xport/pwrwindows.jpg Most oif the times, passenger windoes operation fails for problem with driver side window switches. Even when using passenger side switch, the ground side still goes through driver side switch.
