Do u know anything about fuel pumps in the Clio? My car broke down 3 months ago, had to get it towed. It turned over and over but wouldnt start! The garage fixed it but didnt say what was wrong. A week later the same thing, they changed all the parts including the fuel pump, and it worked, but i assumed they still didnt know what was wrong. It happened again yesterday this time its a new garage and they say its dirty fuel! This time i have to pay for the new fuel pump! Could this be right? Why did they not notice it the 1st time? How can i tell?Or does anyone know who i could ask, as this is soooo expensive!

Normally there is a filter before the petrol pump, so how could dirty petrol ruin a pump??
Im not an expert at all, but it seems you are getting ripped off everywhere you go mate! |

of course there's the option that ypou've been ripped of but it also could be true .
maybe the first garage didn't pay attention to your filter dci's are under heavy pressure the littlest part of dirt could ruin your whole engine try pumping fuel elsewhere... or look at the filter yourself... greetz:smoker: |
