Won't start

05 trailblazer one day just clicked on first start started second time, rear wiper came on once by itself, next day wouldn't start first try but second try it did . While driving anti theft light came on and stayed on, later went to start and now it won't start at all, just a faint click, would a bad starter do that with wiper antitheft light, battery is fully charged, starter relay clicks when hooked jumper wire, banged starter and nothing

Re: Won't start

Welcome to AF. Gotta check for 12v on the starter cranking wire when it won't start. Then it can be diagnosed from there back. The ignition switch on these trucks had a high failure rate, owned one myself. Not the key cylinder but the actual ignition switch that the key cylinder engages in the column.

Agreed. The good thing is that the ignition switch is actually fairly easy to change. If you do so, be sure to get a replacement with a gray plastic cover - The updated version.
