Fuel level inaccuracy?
New to me 1993 4runner v6. When the fuel gauge shows 1/4 tank fuel level, the vehicle will run out of gas. Is it possible the fuel pickup tube could have fallen off inside the tank or is this more likely an electrical issue? Thanks for any help

Re: Fuel level inaccuracy?
How many miles can you drive on a full tank until it stalls? Siphon all the gas out of the tank after the truck stalls and see if there is still 3 or 4 gallons left. If there is nothing in the tank, it is probably electrical. If the tank is really contains 1/4 tank of gas (3-4 gallons), and the truck stalls, then it's probably your pickup.
