2003 Honda Accord LX sedan (V6 engine) - yellow TCS emergency light came on, won't go away. How fix?
About five days ago, both the red "BRAKE" light and yellow "TCS" light (with emergency triangle) popped up on my dashboard within 30 seconds to 1 minute of each other. I had my mechanic look into it.
He was able to resolve the problem with the red brake light by replacing the brake fluid reservoir with a new one including a new float (the fluid was dirty and the old float was stuck inside somewhere in the break master cylinder thereby giving a false reading that the reservoir was low on fluid). I thought that that might fix the problem of the yellow TCS emergency light, but it did not. The light stays on, and pressing the TCS button does not help. Please advise what I must do. |

Some mechanics always look for extra work. I do not know if your master cylinder was bad but you cannot tell by now.
I replace my brake fluid every two-three years. This is a good maintenance habit. For the warning lights I would check the charging system. Sometimes bad alternator or poor contacts may give you that kinds of behavior. Make sure you do not have any white residue on the battery terminals. Measure alternator voltage output - should be above 13 volts. With the engine running wiggle cables and watch the light - it could be that simple. Good luck, Sam
