Re: Tamiya Brabham BT44b 1/12
Chris - this is really coming together nicely.
the PE parts added to the exhaust collectors came out really well. did you find a reference picture of that area on the real car? also which company did you use for the detail bolts on the valve covers? Cheers John |

Re: Tamiya Brabham BT44b 1/12
Hi John,
Thanks for your comment. The valve cover is the E-Jan afterpart set. I only committed it black. That's all. I don't got good shots from the real car. I only got some from a restored car, but with a different suspension. I think it's a 42b converted to a 44b. But on the pe-sheet from thundervalley are these small parts included. And the result looks really nice. Regards Christian |

Re: Tamiya Brabham BT44b 1/12
Hi,now the old Brabham is done.
I only have to clean it up and some decals.Thats it. Finished. The building was real fun.Everything was easy with no problems at all. I wanted to make it nearly obb,but at the end i have to take the brake before i fall too deep into detailing. In my head is the next project already in my mind,so this had to be finished first. The gallery pics will follow soon. Thanks for watching and all the nice comments. That keeps me motivated. regards Christian |

Re: Tamiya Brabham BT44b 1/12
@Jordan: The Ford logo was easy.
I simply used the E-Jan metal valve cover set and sprayed it black and sanded the logo a bit. Thats all. By the way,the car is finished a while ago. Here are the gallery pics: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...hlight=brabham Thanks for digging out this old thread. regards Christian |
